Printmaking & Clay Weekend Workshop with Paul Andrew Wandless

  • 2519 Northwestern Avenue
  • Racine, WI

This workshop will be an introduction to printing on clay using screen- and relief printing techniques. You’ll learn how to put images into screens without a darkroom, and to carve images and designs in relief blocks. You will also learn to print them in a variety of ways, including making multi-color images with these screens and reliefs. Create images and designs as a means of personal expression during the workshop. Clay surfaces will be used as canvasses for exploration of printed imagery, design, pattern, color, and text. These techniques can be applied to the surfaces of hand-built vessels and sculptures, or be used as tiles or prints. All levels of experience welcome. $160 Members; $200 Non-Members Lunches available for $15/day – register online. A list of recommended supplies is available on the workshop registration page (most supplies are included in workshop fee), or by calling the Wustum at 262-636-9177. Register online at or by calling the Wustum at the number above during business hours (Tues – Fri, 9am – 4:30pm and Sat, noon – 4:00pm). Online registration closes three days before the workshop; after that, you may call the Wustum to check for openings. Generous support for this project provided by Art Bridges.
