Waterford's Millinery Past

  • 206 West Main St.
  • Waterford, WI

Absolutely Waterford! celebrates the village's millenery past with an exhibit of mens' and women's hats from the 1860s to the 1960s. The building that now houses the Absolutely Waterford! office and the West End Gallery was Waterford's second millinery (hat making) shop at the turn of the century.

The display is from the collections of local hat collectors Lori Keiser and Rita Pisarski. You'll see 46 hats, most dating from pre-1940. Other accessories on display include embroidered collars, handmade gloves, vintage purses and hatpins.

"Waterford's Millinary Past" runs through Feb. 17. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday but hours may vary.  Please call ahead: 262-534-9000. Free admission.
