Blase Masini is an abstract artist who work explores a tension between chaos and order. The cold wax medium he uses lends itself to rich organic (chaotic) surfaces. The use of collage and stencils, allows him to introduce order to the chaos.
A 1982 graduate of Illinois State University in printmaking, Masini has exhibted in juried shows across the country. He is a featured artist in the groundbreaking book "Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations."
This exhibition runs through June 1. The Racine Arts Council's ArtSpace Gallery is open 12 to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
