"Beasts: Wild Animals in RAM's Collection"

  • 441 Main St.
  • Racine, WI
Overview

The Racine Art Museum (RAM) releases the beasts of contemporary craft. "Beasts" takes a look at creatures that are wild, dangerous, large or somehow less familiar. The artists, whose works are featured in this exhibition, are drawn to depicting animals that are, perhaps, a little more removed from the daily lives of most.

The ceramic sculptures, fiber works, paintings, photographs and prints that are included in "Beasts" are from RAM's collection. This exhibition opens Sunday, Feb. 18 and runs through Sunday, June 10. (Closed Easter Sunday, April 1.)

RAM hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Closed Mondays. Admission is $7 adults; $5 seniors (age 62+) and students. Children age 12 and younger admitted free with paid adult.
