9th Annual Chainsaw Carving & Forest Festival

River Bend Nature Center hosts the 9th Annual Chainsaw Carving & Forest Festival on Sunday, October 3rd. During the free event, the public is invited to watch chainsaw artists create incredible sculptures from logs; join the bidding when all carvings go to a lively public auction.

Explore the autumn forest guided by a nature trivia trail for adults and for children...refresh yourself along the trail with unique craft beers. Food and soft drinks also available.

Children can discover the Andis Chickadee Trail, featuring the latest book on the story trail and a natural playscape winding through the forest. 

Enjoy an art fair featuring handmade, original works of art and crafts for sale. Other activities include- extensive silent auction, chainsaw raffle, children's activities and the chainsaw carving auction. Canoe and kayaks will be available for rent to view all the fall colors from the river. 

9am-2pm: Chainsaw carving, forest nature trivia hike, story trail, forest beer hike, art fair, silent auction, raffle, children and family activities, food and refreshments. 

3pm: Chainsaw carving public AUCTION

Be sure to stay for the auction! Bidding is exciting and 50% of all money raised goes directly to River Bend Nature Center to support environmental education programs.
