It’s a weekend for fun fundraisers like local music and frozen golf. You can also plan a wedding and take in some live theater. Real Racine has you covered.

 

Afternoon rock.  Rock out to five bands on two stages at Jammin’ for Cancer. This annual fundraiser for the Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Cancer Unit runs from 1 to 6 p.m.Sunday at the Eagles Club, 319 Hamilton St., and right across the street at George’s Tavern, 1201 N Main St. Just $5 gets you into both locations for music, food, raffles and a silent auction.

Wedding planner.  A one-stop wedding shop is in store at the Southeast Bridal Showcase from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave., Sturtevant. You’ll find more than 50 exhibitors, including clothes, photography, flowers, entertainment, travel, food and more. There is a Groom’s Room with TVs, a cash bar and beer samples. Admission is $5. Catch a laugh. Some of the funniest live performances of the year starts Friday at Sixth Street Theatre, 318 Sixth St. The 2016 Snowdance 10 Minute Comedy Festival features 10 original short comedy sketches performed by the Over Our Head Players. Audience members get to vote on their favorite play. The play with the most votes at the end of the run earns the playwright a cash prize. Snowdance performances are on weekends throughFeb. 28. Fore!  If you’ve been missing golf, you can jump back in with Winter Golf on Eagle Lake from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Singles and two-player teams are welcome to try the course on the frozen lake for $10. Free for kids ages 11 and younger. Check in at Michael’s on the Lake, 3101 Eagle Road, Dover. Winter Golf is presented by the Kansasville Dover Betterment Committee and benefits Love Inc.

More music.  Music for a purpose kicks off Thursday evening at Memorial Hall, 72 Seventh St. Voices Against Trafficking presents the indie rock band Well Known Strangers and local Americana group Saturday Night Preachers. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. Tickets at the Civic Centre box office, 5 Fifth St., via Ticketmaster and at the door. The concert benefits the Racine Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
