The Color Run Racine "Tropicolor World Tour" is bringing you an island-style 5k vacation on Racine's beautiful lakefront starting at 9 a.m. THIS Saturday, May 28.

The Color Run showers runners and walkers on a 5k course with colored powder. The all-new Tropicolor Zone will bathe runners and walkers in a tropical array of colors and delicious island scents as they pass through the shade of palm trees, arches and island-style music. The Finish Festival is Rainbow Beach, an interactive island featuring music, dancing, photo opportunities and massive color tosses.

The Color Run Racine festival and finish line area has been moved a few dozen yards from Pershing Park to the Gateway Technical College (GTC) parking lot (behind 1001 S. Main St.) to protect the park's environmental features, reduce participant congestion and maintain safety.

Free parking will be available in the Racine Civic Centre ramp on Lake Avenue and the surface lot at the southeast corner of Sixth Street  and Pershing Drive. A free shuttle will run between the Sixth and Pershing lot and The Color Run festival area.

Pick up your race day packet in advance at the check-in party THIS Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kohl's Department Store, 5500 Washington Ave., Mount Pleasant. Race day check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at The Color Run site behind Gateway Technical College.

Advance registration is still available at $44.99. It includes a limited edition Tropicolor Tour race shirt, a finishers medal on a floral-printed ribbon, an embroidered headband and fun temporary tattoos. Register at  Save $5 with the code REALRACINE.
