Open House Racine County (OHRC), a one-day, free tour of the county's most interesting places returns Saturday, May 6.

Last year's inaugural OHRC was a big success with more than 1,100 attendees, rave reviews and statewide attention.

Sites wanted

Real Racine is seeking locations to participate in this countywide event for 2017. In particular, sites are wanted from the western part of the county (Waterford, Rochester, Burlington, etc.) OHRC 2017 will offer free and rare access to approximately 50 sites. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn the stories behind Racine County businesses, architectural gems and civic buildings.

Each site on the tour will be identified by an external 3-foot by 5-foot banner bearing the event's logo and website address. Visitors will be greeted by volunteers/representatives from each site. Site owners are encouraged to distribute information about their building, business or organization.

In addition, each site will have a page on the event website (www.OpenHouseRacineCounty.com) including photos, location and a brief description. The event will also be promoted with regional advertising and a newspaper insert containing maps and site information.
